The National Headache Foundation's 2008 Partners in Excellence Award

Diana (Dee) D'Alessio was awarded the 2008 Partners in Excellence Award by the National Headache Foundation in recognition of her efforts to raise awareness of menstrual migraine among women. As a spokesperson for the educational campaign, PARtnering Against Menstrual Migraine™, she is helping to inform millions of women across the country about menstrual migraine and how to seek effective diagnosis and treatment of this condition.

Migraine affects approximately 28 million Americans; and nearly 21 million sufferers are women. Up to an estimated 60 percent of these women experience migraines around the time of their period. These migraines are known as menstrual migraine.1,2,3,4
